Discover the Patagonia - Whale Watching in Peninsula Valdes
Stretching out from the Patagonia into the South Atlantic, the Peninsula Valdes is a UNESCO protected game reserve, home to a wonderful array of animal life, including whales, penguins, sea lions and elephant seals. On dry land, you can see wandering rheas, guanacos and armadillos, and it's also one of the few areas in which you have a good chance of seeing the Patagonian hare. Right whales can be seen during the breeding season of June to December, and while killer whales can be seen from November to April, the best months to spot them are March and April. Another interesting aspect of the region is that the nearby town of Puerto Madryn was, in 1865, the landing place of the first Welsh colonists in the region. Welsh is still spoken, and there are many excellent Welsh tearooms found in the area.

Day 1 |
- Transfer to the airport for the flight from Buenos Aires to Trelew.
- Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel in Puerto Madryn. |
Day 2 |
- Breakfast.
- Full day excursion visiting Peninsula Valdes. Sea wolves, sea lions, guanacos
(patagonian llamas), seals, and from mid-May to mid-December, the whale
watching boat trip is included from Puerto Piramides. Puerto Piramides, a village
in the middle of the peninsula, is one of the best places in the world to whale watch.

Day 3 |
- Breakfast.
- Choice of two full day excursions: penguin reserve at Punta Tombo, or Valley of the
Chubut River (beautiful area of Patagonian countryside).
- Transfer to the airport for the flight from Trelew to Buenos Aires. |
